ScaleZapp is thé most convenient app for studying scales, chord-arpeggios and intervals.
This unique visual system shows all notes in a circle and only notes that fit in scales, chords or intervals are shown. When being played you can see which note you hear because they light up , so you don’t loose track easily. To develop your skills you can adjust the tempo, start off slowly and built up the tempo.
ScaleZapp is now available for IPad! The Free app contains 5 major scales up to 2 sharps and flats, with the Premium version you can learn to play 7 different scales in all keys and the Advanced version gives you 24 different scales to work on! The scales found in the Premium version (Major, Major Pentatonic, Major Blues, Natural Minor, Minor Pentatonic, Blues and Chromatic) are important if you want to learn to improvise, especially for Pop, Rock and Blues. If you want to go a step further towards more jazzy improvisation, you should consider downloading the Advanced ScaleZapp with an extra 17 scales: Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian, Mixolydian, Locrian, Harmonic- and Melodic Minor (Classical & Jazz), Half Diminished, Diminished (half-whole), Diminished (whole-half), Whole-tone, Altered, Superlocrian, Bebop Dominant, Lydian Dominant and Lydian Augmented. Intervals within one octave can be found in the Premium version, plus most of the triads. In the Advanced version you can also find all Seventh Chords.
